What is Troll Under the Tree?

Troll Under the Tree is a new family holiday storybook tradition reminding us to appreciate what matters during the holiday season: Family, Friends, and Love. Every package comes with a delightful, hand-illustrated 33-page storybook and a super cute, cuddly plush toy troll.

Why did you create Troll Under the Tree?

Tracey and Brian (the parents) wondered how their friends’ elves had such creative adventures. As with most working parents, their holidays are extremely busy. Like a lot of people, they believe that the true meaning of the holidays is spending time with people you love the most.

After watching their friends’ stress over managing an elf, they created Troll Under the Tree. They wanted something to help their children avoid being caught up in the hustle of the season and remind them about the spirit of the holidays — in a way that is fun, engaging, and didn’t add to Tracey and Brian’s current to-do lists.

What is the message of Troll Under the Tree?

Troll Under the Tree reminds us that the purpose of the holidays is to spend time with loved ones, to be thankful for our friends and family, to teach children to be appreciative of time together (not just presents) and to provide parents a fun, engaging way to present this message to children.

Who are Tracey and Brian?

Tracey and Brian ventured out from their careers in healthcare to write and publish this book. Tracey was long inspired by Brian’s idea and finally sat down to write it this year. With four children, they love the holidays but sometimes get overwhelmed. They are constantly trying to make life simple, focusing on the meaningful ‘stuff.’ This year, they’re so grateful for this chance to share something that has brought such joy and laughter to our family. (And their 6 year old says the troll gets rid of nightmares, so that’s a bonus too!)

Troll is perfectly content staying under the tree. But Troll also loves hugs, cuddles, snuggles, games, and more. Just don’t make Troll too busy! He prefers to relax with his new family and friends.

No. Despite the insistence of the family puppy, Zoe, Troll Under the Tree plush is not a dog toy. It is not made with any harmful components whatsoever, but we are not responsible for any household animals who might try to eat our lovable friend.
